David qualified from Queens University Belfast in 2006. Since qualification David has invested in numerous postgraduate courses including an implant certificate under Raj Patel in 2007 and an Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry Certificate from the Eastman UCL in 2009. He became a member of the Joint Dental Faculties RCS (Eng) in 2010. In 2012 David set up Boyne Dental and Implant Clinic and has progressed this into a bespoke 5 surgery practice in the Old Courthouse building in Navan town centre, the practice was recently voted Best New Dental Practice in Ireland 2016 and David was also a Finalist in the Rising Star category at the Irish Dental Awards 2016. Elected unanimously by the board David is now youngest ever Director of the Northern Ireland Division of the Faculty of the Royal College of Surgeons England.

Hazel graduated from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 2000. Having completed her VT year in Darlington, she moved to Northern Ireland in 2001 and worked as an associate before travelling to Cairns. Here she worked with the Royal Flying Doctors Service and Cairns base hospital, as well as in private practice. In 2005 Hazel joined Ards Dental Practice in Newtownards, she attained the MJDF in 2012, and has assisted with the MJDF study club since. In 2014, she joined the NI divisional board taking on the role of secretary in 2015.

John-Joe qualified from Queen’s University Belfast in 2006 and was awarded Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties by the Royal College of Surgeons (Eng) in 2011. He joined the FGDP (NI) board in 2012 and has been Treasurer since 2013.
John-Joe works in mixed general dental practice in Newry and Belfast. John-Joe also works as a Clinical Tutor in restorative dentistry at the Centre For Dentistry, Queen’s University Belfast.
He is currently in the third of a four year part-time Masters in Clinical Dentistry studying Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at King’s College London.
Ross Qualified from Glasgow University in 2010 and returned to Northern Ireland to complete his VT year. During this year he also completed his MJDF qualification and since 2013 he has been an active member of the FGDPNI board. Ross works full time in general practice in Bangor. He is assistant tutor for the MJDF study club and events co-ordinator, he finds that being part of FGDP NI is an extremely rewarding experience which has introduced him to many new colleagues and friends.

David Mann BDS MFGDP
David graduated from Queen’s University Belfast 2000 with Distinction in Restorative Dentistry and Dissertation and was awarded prizes for best orthodontic undergraduate and best dissertation. He completed his VT and worked in Aberdeen for several years before returning to Northern Ireland. He is one of the founding partners in Church Road Dental Care,a progressive and modern practice in Carryduff.
He completed his MJDF examination in 2010, Certificate in Restorative Dental Practice at Eastman Dental Institute in 2013 and is actively working towards FFGDP qualification.
A former VT trainer David is keen to pass on his knowledge to other colleagues and is currently the Regional Tutor for FGDP aiding colleagues in their preparation for the MJDF exam.

Ciara graduated with honours from Birmingham University in 1996 and was awarded the Carlton Gold Medal as the most outstanding dental graduate of her year, having completed her MFGDP qualification she was admitted to the FGDP in 1998. Following a year as an SHO in Birmingham Dental Hospital she returned home to Northern Ireland to take up an associate position in Dickson Mullan Hamilton in Downpatrick. She progressed to partner and has recently become sole owner of what is now Mullan Gallagher Dental Group. Under her management the practice has expanded to become one of the largest in Northern Ireland and has six associate dentists, a hygienist and fourteen dental nurses.
Ciara has a keen interest in postgraduate education and has been a VT trainer on several occasions receiving a national award for this role.

Terri qualified from Queen’s University Belfast in 2009 and following completion of VT has since remained as an associate dentist in general practice in Holywood, Co.Down.
Terri successfully completed her MJDF qualification in 2012 and since 2013 has been an active member of the FGDPNI board. Terri has also played a role in helping with the MJDF study club. Terri’s special interests include working with children and restorative dentistry.

Susan qualified with Honours from Edinburgh University in 1993 and was awarded the McGregor Gold Medal for the most distinguished dental student, the McHaffie prize for the best female graduate and the Hepburn prize for best senior dental student. Upon completion of Vocational training in Fife she returned to Northern Ireland and her current practice in Holywood where she is Principal dentist. She has a particular interest in Implant and restorative dentistry.
She has been an Honorary Clinical Assistant in the School of Dentistry supervising the dental students and has been involved with Vocational Training in Northern Ireland both as a Trainer and as Chair of the Committee for Vocational Training (N.I ) from 2006 to present.
Susan was appointed as an examiner of the MFGDP in 2002 and to the Core Group of MFGDP in Spring 2006 she continued to examine MFGDP until the merge of the two dental Faculty examinations in 2008.
Currently an active MJDF examiner and former Deputy OSCE she was appointed to the Core Group of MJDF as Deputy Lead of Part 1 in September 2014. Divisional board member since 1999 Susan held the post of Treasurer before being elected Divisional Director in 2006, serving in this role until January 2016.

Pearse Stinson BDS MFGDP
Pearse graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1981, he commenced an associateship in General Practice, moving to practice ownership in 1986. Active in the FGDP since its inception, he achieved his MFGDP in 1997 by examination. He holds the Diploma in Implant Dentistry (Advanced cert.) from the RCS (Eng) and has been working in this field since 1996 practising implant and surgical dentistry alongside general practice in his Belfast surgery. Pearse has been a Divisonal board member since 2001, and divisional secretary from 2002 to 2013 holding the Northern Ireland seat on the board of the FGDP since 2003. He is currently a vice Dean of the FGDP, and has chaired their education and external affairs committees. Pearse teaches implantology alongside Mark Diamond at the Fortwilliam Clinic, and tutors on the Belfast programme for the DSA course in Conscious Sedation.
