FGDP once again bring the largest local dental conference to Northern Ireland. Aimed at the general dental practitioner it is an opportunity to support learning and development. Renowned speakers of the calibre of Martin Kelleher MSc. FDSRCPS, FDSRCS (Ed.),FDSRCS ( Eng.) Consultant in Restorative Dentistry, and Andrew Wallace BDS (QUB) MClinDent Prosthodontics (KCL) MFGDP (RCS Eng) will educate on how to ethically make the dental field more profitable with minimal invasion.
Theme of conference is Align, Bleach and Bond. Our expert speakers will take us through simple orthodontics that general practitioners can provide, how to treatment plan for success in align, bleach and bond cases, also how simply bleaching and bonding may be the solution to the patient’s aesthetic needs! This will then be followed by ethical advice on how to market these treatments to make them profitable!
Martin Kelleher is a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at King’s College London Dental Institute. He is a Dental Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and of the Royal Colleges of Edinburgh and England.
He is on the GDC specialist lists in Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics.
He is a past President of the British Society for Restorative Dentistry. He was on the board of Dental Protection for 10 years and chaired their Advisory Committee on Dental Claims until 2010.
Martin is a past President of Southern Counties Branch of the British Dental Association.
He has lectured nationally and internationally on topics such as clinical decision making, the management of clinical risks, and the compromised dentitions, implants and their complications, clefts, bleaching, bonding, ageing dentitions, wear and minimally destructive aesthetic dentistry.
He is the author or co –author of many peer reviewed papers, quite a number of chapters in books , some controversial opinion articles, and a book on bleaching published by Quintessence.
He is in private restorative practice in Bromley, Kent
Andrew Wallace BDS (QUB) MClinDent Prosthodontics (KCL) MFGDP (RCS Eng).
Andrew is a general dentist with special interest in prosthodontics, cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics.
Having qualified from Queens University Belfast in 1998, Andrew gained his Master of Clinical Dentistry (MClinDent) in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics from King’s College London in 2015 and gained full Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practice (MFGDP) for the Royal College of Surgeons England also in 2015.
Andrew Wallace is one of the partners in Bachelors Walk Dental and has been since 2004 and also works in the multi award winning Cranmore dental and Implant clinic accepting referrals for restorative dentistry and endodontics.
Andrew Lectures internationally on cosmetic dentistry, including cosmetic tooth alignment, tooth whitening and is principal trainer in Ireland for the IAS Academy, the group responsible for accrediting professional dental providers of the Inman Aligner and clearsmile cosmetic orthodontic systems.
Andrew is the current Vice President of the European Society of Aesthetic Orthodontics (ESAO), a Key opinion leader for Philips oral healthcare and an honorary clinical teacher in King’s College London.
Andrew is one of a very small number of dentists acknowledged as an “Active” member of the Irish Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and is a Full Member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. GDC number 74981
Jonathan is a marketing strategist whose entrepreneurial flair is what ultimately drives him, Jonathan has worked with major clients like BT, Orange, IBM, Asda, Proctor & Gamble, Bentley and BMW, prior to bringing his skills to the business of dentistry 6 years ago.
Jonathan built a full service marketing agency from scratch in the UK sold it to the largest agency in the world and then spent 10 years working for them as a CEO, he followed this by running one of the smallest yacht clubs in the world before becoming managing partner at Breathe Business and latterly managing partner of Fine Company a dental marketing services group
He has also co-authored a book with Dr Simon Hocken on how to win big in dentistry. The book is called “Moonwalking for Dentists”
